About John:
“I am very proud and honoured to be a part of this great organisation” said Coffs Harbour resident and business proprietor Mr John Senes upon being appointed a National Ambassador to Dragons Abreast Australia. “I firmly believe that if you take out of the community you must put back in, and it’s not just about money, it’s about letting people know that there is help for them.”
Michelle Hanton OAM and founder of Dragons Abreast Australia said “we invited John to join us as an Ambassador based on his ongoing commitment to us, his professionalism and our belief in his ability to assist, enhance and uphold the reputation that Dragons Abreast has gained over the last ten years.”
Angie Walter, Regional Representative for Dragons Abreast Australia on the NSW North Coast continued “John is our first male Ambassador and we are very excited to have a local become a National Ambassador. We feel it important to have a male Ambassador for Dragons Abreast as the men who support breast cancer survivors often have a very different perspective.”

About Kay and Madeleine:
Madeleine and Kay invite breast cancer survivors to stay at Shirl’s Place, which is situated near the quiet country town of Rosevale in South East Queensland, free of charge. It is offered to breast cancer survivors who are in need of a break from everyday life and the chance to relax and reenergise before facing the challenges of the busy world. They encourage women to leave their families at home for a few days and come alone or bring someone who is supportive, a friend, partner or carer. Women are sometimes too busy looking after everyone else and don’t take time out for themselves - Shirl’s place offers them that opportunity. Read more about Shirl's Place |
