To become a member of Dragons Abreast ACT, which includes membership of Dragons Abreast Australia, we ask you to be aware of our ethos before joining. Dragons Abreast Australia is a national organisation comprised of breast cancer survivors (and some very special supporters) of various ages from a great variety of backgrounds, athletic abilities and interests. CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership of Dragons Abreast ACT is available only to women and men who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Those who would like to join as supporters can have their application considered, using our Supporter Application Form and contacting the Coordinator.
Current members of the Canberra Dragon Boat Association may also apply to join by submitting the ACT Associate and Dual membership form.
Non-paddling members of Dragons Abreast (for example family members) can join us on social occasions and for a maximum of three paddles annually using the ACT Associate and Dual membership form.
As we are a national organisation, we also ask you to fill in the Individual Membership Form for Dragons Abreast Australia.
It is a requirement of membership to CDBA that you are also a member of the Canberra Southern Cross Club. Please go to their website for more information.

FEES

Full membership fee $185 per annum, which includes the Canberra Dragon Boat Association fee of $150
ASSOCIATE membership, FRIENDS membership or DUAL membership : $45 (paddling for non-CDBA members limited to three sessions per year)

We welcome breast cancer survivors who would like to have a trial paddle with us. Please contact the Coordinator if you would like to join one of our sessions. Please note that you need to be a temporary member of Canberra Dragon Boat Association. There is no associated cost, but you need to fill in a temporary membership form, which can be downloaded from the CDBA site. Temporary membership allows you to have three free sessions and to be covered by the CDBA's sports injury insurance, but you cannot compete in any regattas or racing events.
